Hello, to all the Senior Syndicate students. I have been thinking about you often so decided to make contact.
It's hard to believe that Term 2 has come and gone, as has nearly a week of your holiday break. I hope you are all enjoying the rest from schoolwork, and having fun and maybe some exciting adventures.
I do look forward to seeing you all at the start of Term 3 and catching up on the new learning that
took place while I was recovering from my knee surgery.
Every day I have worked hard and completed 2 circuits of exercises to help with the bending and straightening of my metal knee joint. I even borrowed an Exercycle from a friend which I ride for 20 minutes twice a day, but the funny thing is, I never seem to cover any distance! Ha, ha! When I hop off the bike my legs are so tired they wobble like jelly! There is a saying, "No pain, no gain!"
Well, here's wishing you the best for the remainder of your holiday, and keep well and safe.
May God bless you all and watch over you always.
Lots of aroha,
Mrs Graham :)
Lots of aroha,

In the first 4 weeks of Term 1 2016, the Senior Syndicate (Years 5-8) have begun with great gusto in the Computer Suite Learning Centre.
From research on Shrove Tuesday, to following the Campaign by New Zealanders to buy the Abel Tasman Beach, to understanding the phenomenon of Leap Year this year and to presenting Maths Statistical Investigations using Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, has allowed the development of a large number of skills and the ownership of extensive knowledge.
Over the past week we visited Kiwikidsnews.co.nz to research the devastation of Cyclone Winston in Fiji. As a thinking tool we used a Cause and Effect map to identify the impact on the people and the land.
Please parents, encourage your children to share with you what hooks them into learning in the Computer Suite
